|The Queen is anticipating a wedding of another of her grandchildren, as her oldest granddaughter, Zara Phillips, has got engaged to Mike Tindall, England rugby union player. Mr. Tindall, 32, proposed to Ms Phillips, 29, at their Gloucestershire home. Both the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh were "delighted" by the news, and this is the second royal engagement of 2010, after Prince William and Kate Middleton's announcement in November.|
The 12th heiress to the throne said that she was astonished by Mike’s proposal, notwithstanding a seven-year courtship. ‘I was really shocked when Mike proposed but I am very happy’, she revealed, whilst he added: ‘I am delighted that Zara has agreed to marry me. We are both very excited about the next stage in our lives together.’
The sparkling engagement ring Zara got from her fiancé is described as a single solitaire diamond with pavé set diamonds on a split shank, set on a platinum band. However, no designer or store has been revealed for the jewellery.
Although, a date for their wedding is yet to be set, the royal couple will probably hold it off until the second half of the year, following William and Kate’s wedding in April.
