The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) will be opening the latest of its laboratories in Hong Kong on 1st September 2010.
The new lab will be a modern and state-of-the-art facility. It will provide for on-site services for both GIA Grading Reports and GIA Diamond Dossiers for diamonds weighing from 0.15 carats to 2.99 carats. The facility will also provide laser inscription and diamond sealing services.
Tom Moses, Senior Vice President of GIA Laboratory and Research, Tom Moses said “...we are pleased to be able to offer more services to the Asian market. This new location will make it possible for us to provide even quicker service to our clients.”
The new laboratory is situated in central Hong Kong, at Room 1411, New World Tower, 18 Queen’s Road Central, Hong Kong.
The current GIA facility in Hong Kong, located in the Aon China Building on Queen’s Road Central is due to close permanently with the last day for the submittal and receipt of diamonds and gemstones being the 27th August 2010.
