Two of the greatest luxury brands in Italy and the world over have teamed up to launch a new jewellery line.
Salvatore Ferragamo, a renowned Italian shoe and leather goods brand, is set to create its first jewellery collection in collaboration with celebrated Italian jeweller, Bulgari, whose name has been synonymous with Italian luxury for years.
Made from silver and gold set with precious and semi-precious stones, the collection is said to be recognisable to those who know the Salvatore Ferragamo brand. Featuring the brand's most distinguished symbols and icons, the new jewellery line will highlight Ferragamo's double buckle design, crafted in a modern style.
Commenting on the collaboration with Bulgari, chairman Ferruccio Ferragamo said: “The development of a jewellery collection represents an extraordinary opportunity for us to extend and enrich our range with a product able to put the spotlight on our brand’s values of exclusivity, craftsmanship and ‘made in Italy’.”“Our brand strategy has always been to undertake projects that have an affinity with our identity. The decision to enter the jewellery business resulted from the opportunity to work with Gianni Bulgari, one of the great names in Italian and international jewellery, a recognised authority in this sector with the know-how and ability necessary to translate our Maison’s DNA,” he added.
The new jewellery collection will be available from October in the company's most important retail outlets across the world.
