Jewellery designer Kimberly McDonald has created a limited edition bracelet in order to raise money to aid the National Wildlife Federation’s efforts to clean up the oil spill in the Gulf.
McDonald has always had a deep love and appreciation for nature and is committed to honouring this by creating jewellery using natural and organic materials.
Originally from North Carolina, McDonald, now based in New York has an avid celebrity following that include Sarah Jessica Parker and Brooke Shields.
In the hope that people will be inspired to take environmental issues more seriously and get involved she had created a one of a kind collection of just 50 bracelets featuring sea turtles.
Each Sea Turtle Macramé Bracelet is created from reclaimed diamonds, a diamond briolette, 18 carat recycled gold and hand woven silk macramé. This limited edition diamond bracelet will retail for $2,000 - $2,500 in the hope of raising $100,000.
All the proceeds will be donated to NWF to support the wildlife rescue and rehabilitation efforts in the Gulf.
