Paul McCartney Weds in Intimate Ceremony
Paul McCartney wed Nancy Shevell in his third marriage on the 9th of October, 2011. The ceremony took place in a Town Hall ceremony. There was only a handful of family and friends who were there to watch the couple to the knot. They were dressed in his daughter Stella McCartney’s design creations. The band he chose for their wedding was an eternity ring with Neil Lane's guidance to help him create the perfect eternity ring. The visually stunning five carat platinum ring was mean to serve as a complement to the engagement ring but not completely steal the show. The diamonds in the ring are square cut and give the ring a kind of antique feel. The diamond eternity ring band is worn next to the engagement ring, which is also by Neil Lane. The engagement ring is a more than five carat art-deco style ring. Neil Lane gives credit to Sir McCartney as being an artist who worked diligently on the design of the eternity ring. McCartney considered the shape and style of the ring as well as the choosing the stone themselves. McCartney was thrilled with the way the ring turned out, as did his new bride. The couple celebrated with a reception held in McCartney’s home in North London.
